Real Madrid ease into Champions League final

Nine-time champions Real Madrid eased into the Champions League semi-finals last night, beating APOEL Nicosia 5-2 in their quarter-final second-leg clash and by 8-2 on aggregate.

The Spanish giants will now meet Bayern Munich in the final four.

Chelsea beat Benfica 2-1 at Stamford bridge for a 3-1 aggregate triumph and the daunting prospect of playing Barcelona in the other semi-final.
