Oswin Schlenkrich of Queenstown beat a quality field featuring 11 of the top 50 amateur golfers in the country in winning the Srixon EP/Border strokeplay championship at a windy Fish River Sun at the weekend.
Oswin shot rounds of 73 and 74 on Saturday and closed with a superb 4-under 68 on Sunday for a 54-hole total of one-under 215.
He finished three shots ahead of Hando Brophy of PE Golf club who had a final round of 73.
Newly crowned EP amateur champion Sieg Human of Uitenhage was another two shots back in third place.
AlgoaFM's Dario Knock shot rounds of 77 79 and 72 to finish in a highly credible tie for 8th place.
