In reply the only real stand-out for Bangladesh was their star batsman, Mohammad Mahmudullah, made 111 off 111 balls, but his team were eventually bowled out

De Kock was named Man of the Match, describing his feat in the heat as “more tired than satisfied” but admitting that he was nervous at the start of his 150th ODI.

Meanwhile according to Aiden Markram, Proteas Captain Temba Bavuma had “improved quite a lot” coming into the Bangladesh fixture, but not quite 100% to play.

He said he hoped Bavuma would be ready for their next match against Pakistan on Friday in Chennai.
