Michelle Enslin of Port Elizabeth claimed victory in the 50 - 54 year age group category at the Ironman world championships in Kona, Hawaii on Saturday.
She won in 10 hours 12 minutes and 03 seconds to beat 69 other competitors in her category to the world title.
It was a double for Enslin, after she won her age category in the 2018 Isuzu Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Nelson Mandela Bay in September.
Another Port Elizabeth triathlete, Kyle Buckingham, finished in 23rd place in the main event in a time of 8:26:01.
