Bafana Bafana got off to a positive start under new coach Molefi Ntseki with a 2-1 victory over Mali in the 25th edition of the Nelson Mandela Challenge.
The match took place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday afternoon in front of a sizable crowd.
First half goals - via a Dean Furman spot kick and a Themba Zwane strike, had put Ntseki's side in a commanding position at the break.
However, Sekou Koita's 75th minute goal made for an interesting finish in what was an entertaining encounter.
Next up for Bafana is a trip to Ghana for their opening 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on November 14.
