South Africa's top marathon runners competed in the SA Marathon Championships in George on Sunday.
The winners in both the men's and women's races take home 50-thousand bucks.
The men's section was won by Coolboy Ngamole in a time of 2 hours 13 minutes and 18 seconds. Second was Michael Mazibuko.
In the women's section, Gauteng North's Charne Bosman succesfully defend her title in a time of 2 hours 41 min and 56 sec.
Second was Mpho Mabuza, and one of Bosman's main challengers, Ntombe-sintu Mfunzi of Port Elizabeth, was fourth.
