Chippa United Football Club has confirmed the appointment of Dan "Dance" Malesela as new Assistant Coach.
Malesela who was previously with Cape Town All Stars replaces Floyd Mogale who will take over as Head of Development and Head Coach of the Multichoice Diski Team.
Chippa United Chairman, Siviwe Mpengesi expressed his delight after formerly introducing Malesela to Head Coach, Roger Sikhakhane and members of the Technical Team on Tuesday evening.
"I am delighted to welcome Dan Malesela on board. He is a talented coach and his wealth of experience will benefit the entire first team set up. I am extremely positive and excited about what we can achieve going forward.
"Dan will help Roger (Sikhakhane) by improving on our attacking prowess and how to better utilize our wing play," added Mpengesi.
Malesela who left Cape Town All Stars in a respectable 3rd position previously coached first division outfit United FC and Mamelodi Sundowns development. He captained Orlando Pirates in the early 90s and later played for Mamelodi Sundowns.
"Dan Dance" as Malesela is affectionately known in football circles is pleased to have joined the Chilliboys, "I watched almost all Chippa United games that were on TV this season thus far.
I am particular about who I watch these days and I suddenly took interest in Chippa," he said with a smile.
"It is still early days. I do not have much to say, but I am delighted to be here and am looking forward to working with my new colleagues and make a meaningful contribution. I share the same ambition as the team, to finish in a respectable position this season" added Malesela.
