Mthembu wins Comrades to record back-to-back triumphs

Bongmusa Mthembu won the 2018 Comrades Marathon from Pietermaritzburg to Durban on Sunday, and in so doing, successfully defended the title that he won last year.

The KwaZulu Natal athlete crossed the finish line in 5 hours 26 minutes 35 secs, to collect his third Comrades title.

Mthembu first won the race back in 2014.

In the women's race, Ann Ashworth won in a time of 6 hours 10 minutes and 8 seconds.
