The Momentum Proteas secured their first series win in the Caribbean on Monday as they beat the West Indies women by 8 wickets in Antigua to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five match series.
Winning the toss and electing to field, the Proteas bowled out the hosts for 157, speedster Shabnim Ismail the pick of the bowlers with 3/31.
In reply, the SA women chased down their target with a massive 13.2 overs to spare – the pair of Lizelle Lee with 78 and Laura Wolvaardt with 52 setting up the win with a 122 run opening stand.
It was their seventh century stand together.
The two sides will be back in action on Thursday at the Sir Viv Richards stadium as the SA women set their sights on white-washing the series.
