World number one Rory Mcilroy capped a remarkeable year in style with  victory in the season ending  DP World Championship in Dubai.

Having already won the money-list on both sides of the Atlantic, the northern Irishman finished with 5 birdies in a row for a 23 -under par total and a two shot win over England's Justin Rose.   

Charl Schwartzel and Luke Donald tied for third on 18 under par.
Louis Oosthuizen was 5th at 17 under under and Fancourt's Branden Grace was 6th at 16-under par
