The defending champion Mecer NMMU Madibas bowed out of the National Club Cricket championships in Pretoria yesterday with a heavy loss to arch rival Tukkies.
Winning the toss, Tukkies posted a useful 252 for 9 in their 50 overs.
They then shot out the PE Students for 101 in 38 overs for a huge 151 run victory.
After also losing to university of the Western Cape earlier in the week, the Madibas are out of contention for the championship match.
They'll be playing for pride today in their final pool game against NWU Pukke.
