The FNB Madibaz fell short in their Varsity Cup semi-final clash against Varsity College at the NMU Stadium on Friday.
The team from NMU came out firing in the first half to go into the half-time break with a healthy 17-3 lead.
But, a half-time team talk saw the visitors from Varsity College turn the tables on their opponents, running out eventual 24-20 winners and a spot in the final.
This was despite losing to the Madibaz two weeks ago.
