Maties, Pukke, Tukkies and UJ are the four semi-finalists following yesterday's action in round 6 of the FNB Varsity Cup rugby competition.
Maties, as the only unbeaten side in the tournament, are currently in top spot after eliminating defending champion UCT 45-5 in Stellenbosch.
Tukkies are in second place - only two points behind Maties - after beating a brave NMMU Madibaz outfit 42-31 in Pretoria.
UJ are third ahead of 4th place NWU Pukke, despite going down 34-32 to the Potch students in a thriller in Potchestroom.
Pukke's win ensured they can't be caught in the final group matches next week.
The Madibaz are in sixth place on the 8-team log but will fancy their chances of improving their position when they play the already relegated Tut Viking in Pretoria next week.
