Last gasp win for Amakhosi as Chelsea implode

Lehlohonolo Majoro secured a stoppage time winner for Kaizer Chiefs last night as they went on to break Moroka Swallows’ hearts in a 3-2 victory at Soccer City to continue their undefeated run in the Absa Premiership.

Chiefs are now seven points clear of Maritzburg United and Orlando Pirates

In other results from last night, Wits and Ajax drew nil-all. Chippa United beat Platinum Stars 2-1 and it was nil all between Maritzburg United and Supersport United.

In the Champions League:  Lionel Messi fired Barcelona into the last 16 with two goals in their 3-0 victory at Spartak Moscow.

The runners-up spot in their group is in the balance after Benfica beat Celtic 2-1, meaning they both have seven points with one game left.

Galatasaray earned a 1-0 victory at home over a young Manchester United side. The victory boosted Galatasaray's hopes of reaching the knockout stage, putting them in second place in group H behind already qualified Man United.

Holders Chelsea are walking a tightrope after a crushing 3-0 defeat away to Juventus. Juventus are now favourites to join Shakhtar Donesk in the last 16 from Group E.

A draw for the Italians in Ukraine in a fortnight would mean Chelsea having the dubious distinction of becoming the first defending champions to exit at the group stage.
