New winners were crowned champions of the Isuzu IRONMAN Nelson Mandela Bay and the IRONMAN 70.3 Nelson Mandela Bay on Sunday.
The two triathlon races took place in Gqeberha on Sunday.
Rasmus Svenningsson, Mathias Lyngsø Petersen, and Cameron Wurf all claimed podium spots and were announced as the African male champions, while Marta Sanchez, Diede Diederiks, and Laura Zimmermann claimed top spots in the female category.
Hanre van Wyk, Alexandra Vano, and Nicky Smith claimed the top honours in the women's section of the 70.3 race.
This is while Manfred Lambrechts, James Gerber, and Dylan van Zyl took to the podium in the men's section.
Athletes and thousands of supporters braved the Gqeberha wind to see the races through.
Among the finishers of the Isuzu IRONMAN 70.3 was MacFarlane Moleli, who is a Carte Blanche journalist and health and fitness influencer Tracey-Lee Lusty.
