American world number 13 John Isner has withdrawn from next week's Australian Open with a knee injury.
The big-serving Isner, who was seeded 12 at the first Grand Slam of the season, injured his right knee during the Hopman Cup in Perth last week.
Meanwhile, Australian veteran Lleyton Hewitt has pronounced himself ready for the Aussie Open after beating world number six Tomas Berdych 6 3 and 6 2 to advance to the final of the Kooyong Classic in Melbourne.
He'll face either Marcos Baghdatis or Juan Martin del Potro for the Kooyong title on Saturday.
