ICC: Rabada holds number two spot in Test bowling rankings

SA’s Kagiso Rabada has maintained his second spot in the latest Test bowling rankings released on Monday.

The rankings were released after the conclusion of the weekend Test matches featuring hosts England against Australia and Sri Lanka against touring New Zealand.

South Africa, and Rabada, last played Test cricket in February when Sri Lanka ran out 2-0 victors in a two-match series.

The 24-year-old Rabada has played 37 Test matches and has taken 177 wickets at an impressive average of 21.77. Rabada has 851 ranking points, well behind Australian Pat Cummins in the top spot with 914.

The now-retired Hashim Amla bows out at 16th in the rankings.

In the team rankings, South Africa is third with 108 points. India is at the summit with 113 points, closely followed by New Zealand on 111.
