Hashim Amla and Vernon Philander have fully recovered from their respective injuries... and are back in the Proteas team to face Pakistan in the first Test at the Wanderers on Friday.
Proteas team doctor...Mohammed Moosajee confirmed yesterday that Amla had recovered his thigh injury, and Philander had recovered from his hamstring injury.
Meanwhile: Amla has told ESPN Cricinfo that he's likely to step down as South Africa's limited-overs vice-captain in the forseeable future after declining a request to lead the side in the recent ODI series against New Zealand.
He said he wants to concentrate on his batting and there's really no point in being vice-captain if he's not going to lead the team when the captain isn't around.
