George to host world junior golf champs

KeNako is very excited to be hosting the KeNako SA World Junior tournament for the 3rd year.

The tournament is played over 54 holes and this year’s opening round kicks off on Tuesday 5th March at the challenging Kingswood Golf Estate. Entries from around the world have been received and for the first time we have players from Canada and Indonesia competing!

South Africa’s top junior golfers are included in the field!  These players have been selected, both male and female, according to stringent criteria.  This event offers junior golfers an opportunity to compete in and test their skills against an international field.  Wonderful hospitality and a well conditioned, challenging golf course are the hallmarks of this fantastic event.

The KeNako SA World Juniors is the first tournament of the year in the schedule of the World Junior Golf Series.  The Series then moves to Poland (July), Germany (August) and the United States (December) with a ‘Tour Championship’ to be played in Bermuda.  Results in these tournaments determine a World Junior ranking for the competitors.
The World Junior Golf Series is a non-profit organisation dedicated to creating and developing talent on an international basis.  The WJGS has created an international “tour structure” that gives juniors the opportunity to compete against their international counterparts in different countries of the world.

Entries from 15 countries have already been confirmed for the forthcoming KeNako SA World Juniors.
KeNako is proud of its continued involvement in the promotion of junior golf at this international level.  The calibre of players selected to play raises the standards of the competition played by South Africans, exposing them to international competition.
