Former EP coach has Stormers contract extended

Western Province Rugby has extended the contract of Stormers head coach Allister Coetzee,  keeping him at the union for another three years.

The extension ensures Coetzee - a former EP scrumhalf and coach, will not sign on as an assistant to Springbok head coach Heyneke Meyer after speculation that Meyer wanted him on his team.

Assistant WP coaches Robbie Fleck and Mathew Proudfoot also received three-year extensions to their contracts.

The Stormers coach said his squad was ready to tackle New Zealand outfit the Hurricanes in their first Super Rugby match of the season in Cape Town this weekend.
