Central Gauteng got their A-section title defence off to a solid start, while Southern Cape emerged as the B-Section pacesetter in Monday's first round of the 52nd South African Interprovincial at Port Elizabeth Golf club.
After turning at 2-all after the morning foursomes, Central dominated in the singles to beat Limpopo 8-4.
In the B-section: Southern Cape beat hosts Eastern Province 7½ - 4½ and Free State 8-4.
After turning 1-3 down in the foursomes, Eastern Province managed to comeback strongly against Free State & Northern Cape in the singles and win 7½ - 4½.
Southern Cape play Northwest and Border on Tuesday.
