Roger Federer believes becoming a father and celebrating his 30th birthday inspired him to a record-equalling seventh Wimbledon title.
Federer moved level with Pete Sampras on seven All England Club titles and celebrated a 17th Grand Slam crown with his battling 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 win over Britain's Andy Murray in his eighth Wimbledon final.
The win also allowed him to return to the top of the world rankings where this week he'll stand for a 285th week, just one short of Sampras's record mark.
Serena Williams beat Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska in three sets on Saturday to win a fifth singles title at Wimbledon.
She later teamed up with sister Venus to win a 13th Grand Slam doubles crown.
