 Roger Federer celebrated his record-breaking 40th victory at the ATP Tour Finals on Tuesday with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Janko Tipsarevic at London's O2 Arena.

The Fed passed Ivan Lendl's record of 39 career match wins at the ATP's exclusive season ending event.

In the day's other matchup, Spain's David Ferrer extending his winning run to 11 matches with a hard-fought 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory over Juan Martin del Potro.
