Federer and Djokovic through to third round at Wimbledon

Six-time winner Roger Federer and defending champion Novak Djokovic reached the Wimbledon third round on Wednesday but the women's draw was turned on its head with the shock exits of three top seeds.
Federer enjoyed a trouble-free 6-1, 6-3, 6-2 win over Italy's Fabio Fognini.

World number one Djokovic defeated America's Ryan Harrison 6-4, 6-4, 6-4

Women's top seed Maria Sharapova was leading Bulgaria's Tsvetana Pironkova 7 6 3 1 when bad light halted play on Court One in their second round match.

The bottom half of the women's draw opened up with fifth-seeded US Open champion Samantha Stosur and seventh-seeded Caroline Wozniacki both knocked out.

Stosur lost 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 to Arantxa Rus of the Netherlands.

Tamira Paszek saved two match points to send Wozniacki crashing out 5-7, 7-6 (7/4), 6-4.

Kim Clijsters, playing her last Wimbledon before retirement, eased into the third round with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Andrea Hlavackova of the Czech Republic.
