 Novak Djokovic has wasted little time in advancing to his third successive Australian Open final with a 6-2 6-2 6-1 destruction of fourth seed David Ferrer.

The match lasted 89 minutes.

Djokovic will meet the winner of Friday's semifinal between 2nd seed Roger Federer and 3rd seed Andy Murray in Sunday's final.

China's Li Na stormed into the ladie's final with a 6 2 6 2 drubbing of world number two Maria Sharapova.

She'll play world number one Victoria Azarenka in Saturday's final after the defending champion beat American teenager Sloane Stephens 6 1 6 4.
