Delport fails fitness test

Paul Delport has been withdrawn from South Africa's squad for this weekend's Tokyo Sevens tournament in Japan after failing a fitness test.

The SA Rugby Union said today that Delport had not recovered from a knee injury.

Bernado Botha returned to the 12-man squad as replacement.

The South Africans, lying third in the series standings, had already suffered an early blow this week, when they lost playmaker Cecil Afrika, also due to a knee injury.
