Chippa United on Tuesday announced the decision to move their home games from Sisa Dukashe, Mdantsane to Absa Stadium in East London.
Chippa United made history by moving their games to Mdantsane when they hosted their match against Highlands Park in December 2016.
“The Club has made a decision to move the games from Sisa Dukashe to Absa Stadium for this season after the ground could not meet the required PSL standards,” said Chippa executive chairman, Siviwe Mpengesi
“The game between ourselves and Cape Town City scheduled for Sunday, 22 October that was due to take place at Sisa Dukashe will now be moved to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
“We apologise to our beloved fans particularly those in the Buffalo City Metro Municipality and surrounding areas for any inconvenience this decision might have caused.
“We will in consultation with all the parties involved announce in due course the games that will be played at the Absa Stadium this season,” added Mpengesi. – African News Agency (ANA),
