Chiefs beat Bulls


 The Chiefs hung on to beat the Bulls in a table-topping Vodacom Super Rugby clash in Hamilton on Friday morning.

The Chiefs won 28 - 22 after trailling 16-8 at half-time.

The Chiefs scored three tries with Flyhalf Aaron Cruden on target with two conversions as well as three penalties.

It was a tight match with the Bulls leading 21 - 22 until a late try by loose-forward Sam Cane.

The Bulls replied with a try by wing Bjorn Basson while flyhalf Morne Steyn was on target with the conversion as well as four penalties and a drop goal.

The Chiefs picked up four points for their victory...consolidating their lead atop the New Zealand Conference and moving to the top of the Combined log.

The Bulls picked up a bonus point but stayed second and fourth in the South African and Overall standings respectively.
