Caster through to semi's

 South Africa's Caster Semenya is into the semi-finals of the women's 800 metres at the London Olympics.

The former world champion ran a controlled heat today to cross the line in 2:00'47.

She was fractionally behind Alysa Johnson Montano who ran a strange race, opening up a huge lead as she scorched the first lap in 55 seconds and then tired visibly in the second lap.

Caster will run the semi-finals at 8.30 SA time Thursday evening.
