Dafabets Warriors captain Matthew Breetzke will join the Lucknow Super Giants in the upcoming Indian Premier League season after being snapped up at the IPL auction in Jeddah.
Breetzke, who also represents Durban Super Giants, was sold for R1.6 million at the IPL auction which ended on Monday.
Other South Africans in the IPL this year include perennial favourites like Heinrich Klaasen, who went to Sunrisers Hyderabad for R49.3 million, Kagiso Rabada went to Gujarat Titans for R23 million, and Tristan Stubbs is at Delhi Capitals for R21.4 million fee.
David Miller was sold to Lucknow Super Giants for R16 million, Marco Jansen to Punjab Kings for R14.9 million, and Anrich Nortje was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for R13.9 million.
Quinton de Kock bagged R7.7 million as he was actioned off to Kolkata Knight Riders, while Gerald Coetzee went to Gujarat Titans for R5.1 million.
Faf du Plessis will join the Delhi Capitals for R4.2 million, Aiden Markram will slot in at Lucknow Super Giants for R4.2 million and Kwena Maphaka was sold to Rajasthan Royals for R3.2 million.
Lungi Ngidi will join Royal Challengers Bengaluru for R2.1 million, Ryan Rickelton to Mumbai Indians for R2.1 million, and Donovan Ferreira to Delhi Capitals for R1.6 million.
Meanwhile, Lizaad Williams is set to join the Mumbai Indians for R1.6 million.
