Southern Kings head coach Deon Davids has confirmed that the versatile utility back, Malcolm Jaer, will be out for approximately six weeks following a broken hand sustained during Saturday's Vodacom Super Rugby clash against the Emirates Lions.
Jaer was one of the stand out performers for the Kings in their 45-10 loss to the Gauteng powerhouse at the NMB Stadium.
Davids added that lock Schalk Oelofse had also picked up a concussion during the game and would not be available for the short tour to Argentina this weekend.
Davids confirmed that prop Sti Sithole, who had sustained an elbow injury during the Vodacom Bulls game, and hooker Edgar Marutlulle, who had sustained a knee injury, were both returning to training this week.
Davids names his team to play the Jaguares on Tuesday and the Kings fly out to Argentina on Wednesday.
