SA sevens coach Paul Treu is optimistic for the rest of the season, despite the Blitzbokke's heartbreaking 31-26 loss to New Zealand in the cup final of the Nelson Mandela Bay sevens on Saturday night.
Port Elizabeth received rave reviews from players, spectators and officials for its first hosting of the event which it will repeat for at least the next three years under a deal signed earlier this year with SA Rugby and the IRB.
Looking ahead to the fourth leg of the series in New Zealand in early February, Treu said his players will certainly carry momentum into the Wellington event on the 3rd and 4th of February.
