The Black Caps have beaten Zimbabwe by 90 runs in the first match of the three-match odi series in Dunedin.

New Zealand set Zimbabwe a target of 249 after losing the toss and being sent into bat, with Martin Guptill top scoring on 70.

In reply, the tourists were bowled out for 158 with Rob Nicol taking 4 for 19 in four overs and Kyle Mills 3 for 26 in 8 overs.
