Big win for Black caps over Zim

Opener Rob Nicol made the fifth highest one-day international score by a New Zealand batsman today as his side beat Zimbabwe by 141 runs in the second one-day international in Fhangarei.

The victory at Cobham Oval, following the 90-run win in the first ODI, gave New Zealand an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Nicol's man-of-the-match 146 off 134 balls helped the Black Caps to a score of 372 for 6.

Jacob Oram with 3 for 29 in his 10 overs, then spearheaded the bowling as Zimbabwe were restricted to 231 for 8 in reply.

In Dubai - England have their backs to the wall at tea on day four of the third and final test against Pakistan.
England is trying to avoid a series whitewash but is in trouble at the break on 173 for 6 in their second innings.

England is chasing a victory target of 324 so still need another 151 runs to win - while Pakistan are in search of four lower-order wickets.
