The Senior Women's National Team (Banyana Banyana) celebrated Youth Day in style by qualifying for the 2012 African Women Football Championship which will be held in Equatorial Guinea in November.

Banyana Banyana scored  a 2-1 win over Zambia in the second leg qualifier in Nelspruit to advance 6-2 on aggregate.
They won the first leg fixture 4-1 in Lusaka two weeks ago.

Bafana Bafana beat Gabon 3-nil in a friendly international match  at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Friday evening.
