The South African Football Association has parted ways with Bafana Bafana head coach Molefi Ntseki.
The decision was announced on Wednesday at a Bafana Bafana AFCON Qualifiers feedback Press Conference at SAFA House.
Ntseki’s axing comes as little surprise following Bafana’s 2-0 loss away to Sudan on Sunday which resulted in South Africa failing to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations Finals in Cameroon in January next year.
A draw against Sudan would have been enough for Bafana to qualify but the loss meant they have now failed to reach the Continental showpiece four times in the last seven editions.
On the team’s return to South Africa on Monday, coach Ntseki admitted to failing as a coach and disappointing the nation, SAFA, and South African football fans.
