Grey PE cruised to victory in the first match of the Bellingham and Smith Grey High School cricket festival yesterday.
An opening partnership of 188 runs between Bernard Ferreira who made 106 not out and Matthew Breetkze who scored 90 laid the foundation for a comprehensive victory of 134 runs.
Grey declared at 240/2 after 59 overs and bowled out St Charles from Maritzburg for 106 in reply.
Affies beat Framesby in a cliff hanger by one run as Framesby lost their last 5 wickets for 19 runs.
Glenwood cruised to an 8 wicket win over Selborne and DHS and Woodridge drew their match.
The match between Grey College and Rondebosch was also drawn.
