Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's match-winning goal for Gabon against Tunisia saw the co-hosts top group C at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 1-0 result was Gabon's third win from as many matches and takes them to nine points, while Tunisia, who had already qualified for the knock-out stage ahead of the last group game, finished second on six points.

Morocco, who beat Niger 1-0 in the other group game, finished on three points, while Niger failed to pick up a point.

In the English Premiership; Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov each claimed a penalty as Manchester United's 2-0 victory over Stoke drew them level with Manchester City at the top of the table.

City dropped three vital points as they were beaten 1-nil by Everton at Goodison Park.

Gareth Bale scored twice and Luka Modric added another goal as Tottenham beat Wigan 3-1 to trail the two Manchester's by just 5 points.

Chelsea was held to a 1-all draw at Swansea and are 7 points adrift of Spurs in fourth place.

Liverpool are four points behind Chelsea in 5th spot following their 3-nil win away to Wolves.
