Wine lovers, mark your calendars! The much-anticipated *Great Kenton Wine Festival* returns to Kenton-on-Sea from *20-22 March 2025*, promising a spectacular three-day celebration of fine wines, world-class entertainment, and unforgettable experiences in the heart of the Eastern Cape’s Barefoot Capital.
The *main tasting event* will be held daily from *2 PM to 5 PM* across three venues—*Kenton Bowls Club, Kenton Tennis Club, and Diaz Deep Sea Club—where **35 curated producers from the Western Cape* will showcase their best vintages. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or simply love a good glass of wine, this is an unmissable opportunity to sip and savour an exceptional selection.
Adding to the excitement, our *fringe events* are bigger and better than ever! This year, we proudly celebrate the *centenary of Pinotage, South Africa’s very own grape variety. We’re also thrilled to welcome back internationally renowned saxophonist **Andrew Young, who will once again mesmerize guests with his soulful performances. In addition, we are honoured to host the legendary humanitarian explorer, **Kingsley Holgate*, whose adventures have inspired audiences across the globe. We are also excited to host The Centrestage's 80's Party Show, bringing an electrifying throwback to one of the most iconic music eras!
Beyond the wine, the *fringe events* capture the *relaxed and quintessential vibe of Kenton-on-Sea, known as The Barefoot Capital*. Featuring boats, wildlife, art, music, and delicious food, these events celebrate our unique charm while also supporting local charities and organizations, creating a perfect blend of entertainment, culture, and community spirit.
