South Africa’s favourite conductor Richard Cock will be back in his home town to direct the 2013 Concert in the Park, which is brought to you in association with Algoa FM.
So pack your picnic baskets and join Algoa FM and the Eastern Cape Philharmonic Orchestra for the Bay’s favourite outdoor classical concert taking place on Saturday, February 16 at 5pm and Sunday, February 17 at 10am.
In 2012, Algoa FM and the Eastern Cape Philharmonic Orchestra hosted thousands of music lovers at the event, and it is expected to be even more popular this year.
Guest artist Zwai Bala is one of the Eastern Cape’s most successful exports, having made his name as a singer, songwriter, producer, arranger, performing artist, DJ and TV personality. He will be joined by the vivacious and vocally gifted Naz Holland who has produced five number 1 hits in South Africa.
“This family-orientated event provides a high standard of musical talent in an amazing atmosphere under the Nelson Mandela Bay skies,” says Dave Tiltmann, Managing Director of Algoa FM.
Tickets will be available at the Victoria Park gates and cost R80 for adults, R60 for pensioners and R30 for scholars (pre-schoolers are free).
