In addition to its traditional FM transmitter footprint in the Eastern Cape and Garden Route, and its “LIVE” stream via www.algoafm.co.za … Algoa FM has been added to MultiChoice's DStv audio bouquet and is now available on channel 837 across all of DStv’s South African packages.
“This has been a work in progress as well as a business objective for many years and I am delighted that we can finally tick this box”, says Alfie Jay, managing director of Algoa FM.
“Over the course of many years, holidaymakers returning home after a stint in Algoa Country, as we like to call it, have written to us asking why we’re not on DStv’s audio bouquet – finally we can answer in the affirmative”, says Jay.
The audio bouquet provides DStv’s customers with a further choice in terms of broadcast media, and as an award-winning radio station, Algoa FM certainly deserves its place on the platform.
DStv viewers can now access Algoa FM by simply pressing Shift and TV on older model decoder remotes, or type 837 on their Explora or new age D decoder remote controls.
“Now that Radio Audience Measurement by the Broadcast Research Council of South Africa specifically recognises DStv radio channel listening, the timing couldn’t have been better”, adds Jay.
