uMkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans Association spokesperson, Carl Niehaus, has been issued with a notice of suspension from his position in the office of ANC Secretary-General, Ace Magashule.
Niehaus was informed of the party’s intention to suspend him in a letter issued on Tuesday.
The disciplinary action follows a week after Niehaus made a personal attack on ANC Deputy Secretary-General, Jessie Duarte, in a personal statement he released announcing his ongoing recovery from Covid-19 pneumonia.
ANC General Manager, Fébé Potgieter-Gqubule, says the statement is a series violation of the ANC Personnel Policy Manual.
Niehaus has 48-hours from receipt of the notice, to show cause as to why he should not be suspended on full pay.
