The outgoing First Lady of the United States of America Melania Trump has thanked the staff in the White House for their support over the last four years.
Trump, who still has access to her Twitter account, tweeted a farewell message to her more than 16 million followers.
Melania and her husband Donald J Trump spent their last night in the White House on Tuesday and will not be attending Joe Biden's inauguration.
By contrast, Trump has remained silent as the clock ticks down to his departure to a new life at his golf club residence in Palm Beach, Florida.
With several of his social media accounts suspended, he has largely stopped communicating with the world.
Joe Biden will be inaugurated on Wednesday as the 46th President of the United States when his wife Jill will take over the official account of the First Lady on social media, @FLOTUS
