General Motors South Africa has announced the appointment of a new General Manager of Marketing, effective 01 February 2015.
The company says Xoliswa Ndungane, who brings with her a wealth of industry expertise to head up the department, joins GMSA as part of a career which spans twenty years.
"Originally from Umtata and having grown up in Port Elizabeth, Ndungane attended Woodridge College in Port Elizabeth and holds a BCOM degree in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, along with several supplementary qualifications," said a statement from GMSA.
"Within her portfolio at GMSA Ndungane will be ultimately responsible for the Chevrolet, Opel and Isuzu brands and will report to the Vice President of Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing at GMSA, Brian Olson."
Ndungane, who describes herself as being passionate about consumers, will be based at GMSA's Sales, Service and Marketing office in Johannesburg.
"Besides her automotive industry experience, Xoliswa brings with her a wealth of knowledge in fast moving consumable goods (FMCG), banking, telecoms and advertising, and her focus on the customer will prove an absolute asset to GMSA," said Olson.
Before joining GMSA Ndungane was General Manager, Marketing and Group Marketing ServicesBMW South Africa.
"Xoliswa's arrival is particularly significant, as GMSA is embarking on a big year in 2015 with six new products to be launched, as well as the implementation of focused strategies to strengthen the Chevrolet, Opel and Isuzu brands in the hearts and minds of consumers in Southern Africa," Olson concluded.
