The murder trial of Vicki Terblanche continued in the High Court in Gqeberha on Tuesday morning.
Vicki's estranged husband, Arnold Terblanche, and her boyfriend at the time, Reinhardt Leach, are accused of plotting her death.
On Monday, Leach pleaded guilty to all eight charges against him. However, the state would not accept his plea on the charges of murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances on Tuesday, stating that there were other roleplayers involved.
Arnold Terblanche, who is facing a charge of murder and defeating the ends of justice, pleaded not guilty.
Acting Judge Samson Dunywa further rejected the guilty plea on the firearm charges and said the state would have to prove its case with ballistic evidence.
Dunywa then found Leach guilty on four charges upon which Terblanche's defence, Peter Daubermann asked for separation of trial.
He argued that Dunywa, in finding Leach guilty, had already made a conclusion by accepting the underlying facts.
A decision is expected after lunch.
