Two people have been killed and four others wounded in a shooting outside a tavern in Kwanobuhle in Uitenhage.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli, says police are still investigating the motive for the shooting incident outside Jwarha's Tavern in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He said one of those who was fatally wounded was a 22-year-old man.
Nkohli said a group of people were apparently partying outside the tavern which had already been closed for business.
He says police are urgently appealing to anyon who may have information on the shooting to contact Detective Constable Peta - 079 334 2677.
Nkholi could not confirm whether the people involved in the incident were at a matric dance after party.
