Police in George have arrested two men in connection with the murder of 54-year-old Joan Singrew.
Her body was found in the Great Brak River area on Monday.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, said the two suspects, aged 45 and 46, were arrested on Friday by Conville police.
They will appear in court on Monday on a charge of murder.
Police said earlier that Singrew, from Rosemoor, was reported as missing last Thursday when there was no sign of her when her daughter returned home.
“A search party was established, which commenced with an extensive search with the deployment of various police units and strategic stakeholders.
“Further investigation took police to Groot Brakrivier on Monday, 25 November 2024 where the body of the missing woman was found at about 14:50,” Spies said in an earlier report.
A post-mortem to determine the cause of death was conducted on Wednesday and will form part of the ongoing investigation.
