Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide following a fatal car accident on the R327 near Herbertsdale outside Mossel Bay.
Western Cape police said the accident happened on Sunday morning when a Land Rover with five occupants overturned.
A spokesperson said the 56-year-old driver and an 85-year-old passenger sustained multiple injuries and died on the scene.
A 74 year old woman who was trapped in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in George while two other people who sustained serious injuries were transported to hospital by ambulance.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation by Kwanonqaba SAPS.
