Residents of Motherwell, Port Elizabeth, have looted and torched a supermarket truck following a service delivery protest on the Addo Road towards Uitenhage on Tuesday morning.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre' Beetge, says residents began blockading the road just before six AM.
He says the driver of a Shoprite truck who tried to make u-turn at the burning barricades was overpowered.
They plundered the truck and then destroyed it. Police responded to the scene and is patrolling the area.
