A joint operation between police from Humansdorp and Kariega resulted in the arrest of three suspects believed to be linked to a triple murder earlier this week.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said the arrests were made on Thursday afternoon.
She said investigators were executing a search warrant at a house on Camphor Street in Jeffreys Bay where the three, aged 23, 33, and 34, were arrested.
“On searching the house, three unlicensed firearms and ammunition were recovered,” Naidu said.
She added that “these suspects may be involved in a triple murder which took place in Kamesh on Tuesday evening”.
Naidu said the three victims were shot while sitting in a car outside a discount store on Ntshinindo Street in Mandela Village in the Kamesh policing precinct.
The operation included members from the Tactical Response Team (TRT) from Motherwell in Gqeberha as well as Public Order Policing (POP) members from Cradock.
Naidu said the three are expected to appear in court on Monday.
